ABOUT ME
My name is Chris Woods and I have served as an educator in Waco, Texas since 2010. After earning a Bachelor's Degree from Baylor Univesity in 2007, I received an Alternative Teaching Certification from McLennan Community College and have taught in both public and charter schools. I currently work for Midway Independent School District as an Innovative Learning Specialist for a fifth and sixth-grade campus. That is just a clever way of saying that I act as a support for teachers through lesson plan development and instructional coaching, with a focus on digital learning.

My wife and I have been married since 2008 and we have three young sons who already seem like they are ready to take on the world. I enjoy building and creating, all things sports-related, and I always welcome challengers to an intense round of putt-putt.

As an educator, I strive for continual growth while expanding my professional skillset. I have these goals in order to achieve the overall mission of developing a positive culture of learning, where both teachers and students find success.
